CUDDLE NEST SHIPPING & DELIVERY POLICY
Last updated: 20 October 2026
Cuddle Nest is operated by DARE 2 DARE, a private company registered in South Africa under registration number 2026/395627/07.
This Shipping & Delivery Policy applies to orders placed through the Cuddle Nest online store.
By placing an order, customers acknowledge that they have had a reasonable opportunity to review the delivery terms set out below, subject to their rights under applicable South African law.
Nothing in this policy excludes or restricts any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 ("CPA"), the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 ("ECTA"), or other applicable legislation.
1. DELIVERY TIMEFRAME
Our standard estimated delivery timeframe is:
8 to 15 business days from the date your order is successfully confirmed.
Most orders are expected to arrive within approximately 8 to 11 business days. However, delivery may take longer depending on product availability, supplier processing, courier operations and delivery location.
Business days exclude Saturdays, Sundays and South African public holidays.
Delivery timeframes may vary due to:
-
Supplier processing or dispatch delays.
-
Unexpected supplier stock shortages.
-
Customer delivery location.
-
Courier operations and collection schedules.
-
High order volumes.
-
Public holidays and peak shopping periods.
-
Severe weather or road closures.
-
Operational or logistical disruptions.
-
Circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Delivery estimates are provided for planning purposes and do not constitute an unconditional guarantee that every order will arrive on a particular date.
Where a specific delivery deadline is expressly agreed with a customer, that agreement and applicable legal requirements will apply.
Cuddle Nest will take reasonable steps to fulfil orders within the stated timeframe.
Where an unexpected or material delay occurs, we will take reasonable steps to notify affected customers and communicate any material changes to the expected delivery timeframe.
Where an order cannot be fulfilled within an agreed or legally applicable period, customers retain any cancellation and refund rights provided by South African law.
2. COURIER SERVICE
Cuddle Nest currently uses Aramex for door-to-door delivery within supported areas in South Africa.
Orders will generally be delivered to the physical address supplied by the customer during checkout.
Customers must provide an address where a parcel can reasonably be received during normal courier delivery hours.
Cuddle Nest reserves the right to use another suitable courier or delivery service where reasonably necessary due to:
-
Delivery location.
-
Courier availability.
-
Operational requirements.
-
Service interruptions.
-
Logistics or fulfilment constraints.
Where a different courier is used, applicable delivery obligations and consumer rights remain unchanged.
3. DELIVERY ADDRESS AND CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY
Customers are responsible for ensuring that all delivery information provided during checkout is accurate and complete.
This includes:
-
Full recipient name.
-
Street address and house or unit number.
-
Building, estate or complex name, where applicable.
-
Suburb.
-
City or town.
-
Province.
-
Postal code.
-
Correct contact number.
-
Relevant access instructions.
Cuddle Nest is not responsible for avoidable delays arising solely from incorrect, incomplete or outdated delivery information supplied by the customer, to the extent permitted by law.
If an incorrect or incomplete address results in an unsuccessful delivery, return to sender or additional delivery attempt, the customer may be responsible for reasonable additional courier charges, where legally permissible.
Customers should notify Cuddle Nest as soon as possible if delivery information needs to be corrected.
We cannot guarantee that address changes can be accommodated after an order has been processed or handed to the courier.
4. ORDER PROCESSING
Orders are generally processed once payment has been successfully received or authorised.
Order processing may be affected by:
-
High order volumes.
-
Promotional campaigns.
-
Product availability.
-
Supplier processing schedules.
-
Payment verification.
-
Fraud-prevention checks.
-
Public holidays.
-
Courier collection schedules.
-
Operational disruptions.
Cuddle Nest reserves the right to undertake reasonable payment verification before dispatching an order.
Where an order cannot be fulfilled due to unavailable stock, supplier issues or another legitimate reason, we will notify the customer and provide the remedy required by applicable law.
Where ECTA section 46(3) applies because ordered goods are unavailable, the customer will be notified promptly and payments will be refunded within the required statutory period.
5. DELIVERY DELAYS
Although Cuddle Nest aims to deliver orders within the estimated 8 to 15 business-day timeframe, unexpected delays may occasionally occur.
Circumstances that may affect delivery include:
-
Supplier dispatch delays.
-
Supplier stock shortages.
-
Courier network disruptions.
-
Severe weather.
-
Natural disasters.
-
Road closures.
-
Civil unrest.
-
Strikes or industrial action.
-
Power disruptions.
-
Technical or system outages.
-
Vehicle breakdowns.
-
Remote-area delivery conditions.
-
Incorrect delivery details.
-
Other events beyond our reasonable control.
Cuddle Nest will not be liable for losses arising solely from circumstances beyond its reasonable control where such liability may lawfully be excluded.
However, these circumstances do not automatically remove our obligation to fulfil an order or provide statutory remedies.
If an order is materially delayed, please contact:
We will investigate the matter with the supplier, courier or fulfilment provider and take reasonable steps to resolve it.
Customers will be informed of material delivery delays where reasonably practicable.
Nothing in this section excludes statutory cancellation or refund rights relating to delayed or unfulfilled orders.
6. STATUTORY DELIVERY OBLIGATIONS
Under section 46 of ECTA, an online supplier must execute an order within 30 days after receiving it unless the parties have agreed otherwise.
Where an order is not fulfilled within the applicable agreed or statutory period, a consumer may have the right to cancel the agreement by providing seven days' written notice, as provided by law.
Where Cuddle Nest is unable to fulfil an order because the goods are unavailable, the customer will be notified and any payment will be refunded within the period required by law.
Nothing in this policy restricts or overrides these statutory rights.
7. ORDER TRACKING
Where tracking information is available, customers may receive tracking details once an order has been dispatched.
Tracking information may be provided by:
-
Cuddle Nest.
-
Aramex.
-
Another appointed courier.
-
An integrated shipping or tracking service.
Tracking updates are generated by the relevant courier or tracking provider.
Tracking systems may not update immediately after collection or between transit locations.
A temporary delay in tracking updates does not necessarily indicate that a parcel has been lost.
Customers may contact our support team if tracking information appears significantly delayed or inconsistent.
8. DELIVERY ATTEMPTS
The appointed courier may contact the recipient using the contact information provided during checkout.
Customers should ensure that someone is reasonably available to accept the parcel at the delivery address.
Delivery may be unsuccessful where:
-
No authorised recipient is available.
-
The premises cannot be accessed.
-
Estate or building access has not been arranged.
-
The customer cannot reasonably be contacted.
-
Incorrect delivery details were supplied.
-
The recipient refuses delivery without a legally valid reason.
Where the delivery failure is attributable to the customer, reasonable additional courier or redelivery charges may apply to the extent permitted by law.
The courier may attempt redelivery or return the parcel to the sender in accordance with its applicable procedures.
9. FAILED OR UNCOLLECTED DELIVERIES
Where an order is returned to Cuddle Nest because delivery could not be completed, we may contact the customer to arrange a suitable resolution.
Additional charges may apply where a failed delivery resulted from:
-
An incorrect or incomplete address.
-
Failure to arrange necessary access.
-
Failure to respond to reasonable courier contact attempts.
-
Refusal to accept delivery without a valid legal basis.
-
Failure to collect an order when collection was agreed.
Any additional charges will be reasonable, directly related to the failed delivery and imposed only where legally permissible.
A failed delivery does not automatically entitle a customer to a discretionary full refund where the failure was caused by the customer's own actions.
However, nothing in this section affects a customer's applicable statutory cancellation or refund rights.
10. LOST PARCELS
If tracking indicates that an order may have been lost in transit, customers should contact Cuddle Nest.
Email: hello@cuddlenest.co.za
Please include:
-
Order number.
-
Customer name.
-
Delivery address.
-
Relevant tracking information.
Cuddle Nest will investigate the matter with the appointed courier.
Where Cuddle Nest appointed the courier, customers will not be required to pursue the courier directly as a condition of exercising their rights against Cuddle Nest.
Where a parcel is confirmed as lost before delivery, an appropriate statutory remedy will be provided.
Cuddle Nest reserves the right to review lawful evidence of delivery, including tracking records, delivery confirmation and courier information, when investigating claims.
Fraudulent non-delivery claims may be disputed using relevant lawful evidence.
11. DAMAGED PARCELS
Customers should inspect parcels as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.
Where the product or packaging arrives visibly damaged, please contact:
Please provide, where reasonably available:
-
Your order number.
-
Your full name.
-
Photographs of the outer packaging.
-
Photographs of the affected product.
-
A description of the damage.
Where relevant, customers may also be asked to retain the packaging while a claim is investigated.
Photographic evidence assists our investigation but is not an absolute condition for exercising statutory consumer rights.
Damage occurring during delivery by a courier appointed by Cuddle Nest will be handled according to applicable law.
12. DELIVERY RISK AND RESPONSIBILITY
Where Cuddle Nest arranges delivery, responsibility for the goods and the risk of loss or damage will be determined in accordance with applicable South African law.
Where the CPA requires risk to remain with the supplier until the customer accepts delivery, that requirement will apply.
Cuddle Nest may pursue any applicable claim against its appointed courier where goods are lost or damaged during transportation.
Delivery tracking, proof of delivery and other lawful evidence may be used to assess whether delivery occurred.
Nothing in this section improperly transfers statutory delivery risk to the customer.
13. REMOTE AND OUTLYING AREAS
Certain remote, rural or outlying areas may require additional delivery time.
Where ordinary door-to-door delivery is unavailable, Cuddle Nest may contact the customer to discuss an alternative delivery arrangement.
Possible arrangements may include:
-
Delivery through an alternative courier.
-
Delivery to a supported collection location, where agreed.
-
An alternative delivery address.
-
Other mutually agreed delivery arrangements.
Any material additional charge requiring customer approval will be communicated before being imposed.
If an order cannot be fulfilled, the matter will be resolved in accordance with applicable law.

Orders placed during busy retail periods may experience longer processing or courier delivery times.
These periods may include:
-
Black Friday.
-
Christmas and year-end holidays.
-
Major promotional campaigns.
-
South African public holidays.
-
High-volume sales periods.
Customers are encouraged to order early when products are required for a particular occasion.
Estimated delivery dates should not be interpreted as guaranteed arrival dates unless expressly agreed.
This section does not remove statutory rights relating to late delivery or non-fulfilment.
15. CHANGES TO AN ORDER
Customers should contact Cuddle Nest promptly if they need to correct information relating to an order.
Requests may include:
-
Correcting the delivery address.
-
Updating the recipient's contact information.
-
Correcting delivery instructions.
-
Requesting an eligible order modification.
Once an order has been processed, packed or transferred to a courier, changes may not be possible.
Where a customer-requested change results in additional courier charges, those charges may be payable by the customer to the extent permitted by law.
Cuddle Nest is not required to provide complimentary additional delivery services arising solely from customer-requested changes, unless otherwise agreed or required by law.
16. CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
Cuddle Nest does not offer voluntary cancellation or refund rights beyond those expressly stated or required by law.
Orders that have entered processing or dispatch may not be eligible for discretionary cancellation.
However, customers retain all applicable statutory rights, including:
-
Eligible online cooling-off rights under ECTA.
-
Cancellation rights arising from failure to fulfil an order.
-
Remedies for incorrect, unsafe, defective or non-compliant goods.
-
Other cancellation and refund rights required by applicable South African law.
Any valid cancellation or refund will be handled according to the applicable legislation and our Returns, Refunds & Warranty Policy.
Nothing in this section excludes or limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.
17. DELIVERY FRAUD AND FALSE CLAIMS
Cuddle Nest reserves the right to investigate and dispute suspected fraudulent delivery-related claims.
These may include:
-
False claims that an order was not received.
-
Deliberate provision of misleading delivery information.

-
Customer correspondence.
-
Payment records.
-
Other relevant lawful evidence.
This section does not restrict customers from raising genuine delivery complaints or exercising legitimate statutory rights.
18. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, Cuddle Nest will not be liable for indirect or consequential economic losses arising solely from delivery delays or disruptions outside its reasonable control where such liability may lawfully be excluded.
Such losses may include:
-
Loss of business income.
-
Loss of commercial opportunities.
-
Indirect financial losses unrelated to the value or fulfilment of the order.
Nothing in this section excludes or limits:
-
Mandatory statutory consumer remedies.
-
Liability for gross negligence where exclusion is prohibited.
-
Liability for defective or unsafe goods where applicable.
-
Any other obligation or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
